LGBTQIA Blog

By Jackie Rosen, FISP Executive Director/CEO

Welcome to the new FISP blog for the LGBTQIA community. The purpose of this blog is to share your experiences and helpful suggestion for your community. FISP is working with many LGBTQIA organizations. We are reaching out to all age groups through our various programs and associations. We are here to listen and help. Now, you have an opportunity through this blog to share with us and other members of your community your thoughts and needs. This is also your opportunity to reach out and get involved with others who have shared your experiences. Your participation in this blog can make a difference in your life and that of many others. No one should feel alone and this blog can help you communicate your thought and share them with others who care about the same issues. I will add articles and healing words each month to help keep the blog interesting and educational. We invite you to do the same. FISP welcomes you to your blog.

      Hi!
I am a mental health professional and patient advocate practicing with the Medvocate Group in Wilton Manors on Wilton Drive. I had not been aware of the FISP/Police Department initiative until reading about it in the May-June 2014 issue of Town Crier, the official Newsletter for the City of Wilton Manors.

Wondering if any report/recommendations came out of that meeting.

Let me know if there’s anyway I can be of help.
